Stats from Around the World


At our August business meeting, in honor of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, we added the flag of Great Britain to our tabletop collection.

Our advocacy chair Barbara Pierce, presented statistics on birth, infant mortality, fertility and literacy rates for the United Kingdom, and we compared them with a growing list of countries around the globe. Here are the numbers for countries we have talked about this calendar year. They say a lot about the status of women and girls in different parts of the planet.
