Film on Human Trafficking, Oct. 27
“Not My Life,” a 30-minute film about human trafficking, will be shown at the North Shore Public Library on Tuesday, October 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The library is located on Route 25A in Shoreham, at the Shoreham-Wading River High School.
Narrated by Glenn Close, this documentary was filmed on five continents in a dozen countries and takes viewers into a world where millions of children are exploited every day.
Patricia Latona, a member of the UN Committee to Stop Trafficking in Persons, Zonta International UN Committee, Zonta Westchester, will introduce the film and lead a discussion afterwards on how to abolish all forms of modern slavery, including child labor, prostitution, and domestic servitude.
