Field Report from Hawaii: Leilehua Zonta Club Hosts Film Festival
Peconic Bay member Mona Rowe attended a film festival on March 5, 2017, hosted by the Zonta Club of Leilehua on the Hawaiian island of O`ahu.
This was the third year that Leilehua has hosted the LUNAFEST® Film Festival, which features short films by, for and about women. The club donated all proceeds to the Breast Cancer Fund, youth scholarships, and their 2017 charity of support, Hawai`i Women in Filmmaking.
Zonta International is active in Hawai`i, with five clubs located on four different islands: two on Kaua`i and one each on O`ahu, Maui and the Big Island of Hawai`i. The organization has 30,000 members in 66 countries working together to improve the lives of women and girls.
