Peconic Bay Zonta delivered to Tia Fulford a box stuffed with holiday-themed bags, each holding a pair of knitted gloves and candy for the Butterfly girls. Fulford is founder and executive director of The Butterfly Effect Project, a nonprofit, community-based organization that helps girls develop self-confidence and prepares them for academic success.Peconic Bay members Liala Strotman and Betsy Kaplan had arranged to have the bags made and filled to order for the girls as part of a donation to Habitat for Humanity.
