Serving Zonta District 3

Peconic Bay Zontian Mary Ann Miller has been appointed committee co-chair for District 3's Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship. Serving the district for the upcoming biennium, from June 2024 through May 2026, Miller and her fellow co-chair will coordinate the application process, which culminates in a finalist for consideration for an international scholarship.

Peconic Bay members Kathy Walker and Mona Rowe are ending their two-year term for the 2022–2024 Zonta biennium as co-chairs of the Zonta International Women In STEM Scholarship. They coordinated District 3's application process that resulted in a STEM Scholarship being awarded to Adebimpe Rasak-Usman. She was one of 30 recipients worldwide to win the scholarship, established by Zonta International to encourage women to pursue education, career opportunities and leadership roles in science, technology, engineering and math.
