Getting Ready for School: Notebooks for Butterfly Effect Girls

Peconic Bay Zonta donated 210 marble notebooks to girls in The Butterfly Effect Project, a nonprofit community group that helps girls develop self-confidence and achieve their academic goals.

Tijuana Fulford (first on right), founder and executive director of the Butterfly Effect Project and Butterfly Effect girls (from left) Gionnah Hicks, Jaylen Lee and Azharia Allen were on hand to thank Zonta members Betsy Kaplan (second from right), who purchased the notebooks, and Liala Strotman (first on left), who helped deliver them.

Peconic Bay Zonta covers the East End of Long Island and is affiliated with Zonta International, which works to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy.
